I Want You Back! Unreleased Masters Review

With all the J5 did over the years, there simply had to be unreleased material--and I'm thrilled that this CD has finally come to be! This is an absolute must have for Jackson 5 fans; these young men take on these songs so well that every one's a gem--there's not a single dud in the track set! The quality of the sound is excellent and I like that artwork, too.

The CD gives us all sorts of goodies--we get the much anticipated "Buttercup" that gets me tapping my feet to the beat even when I don't realize I'm doing it! Michael sings his vocals to perfection and his brothers never let go of a superfluous note. The music fits in perfectly with their singing, too. "That's How Love Is" shines bright with lots of energy; this awesome tune features a young Michael Jackson singing his words out like a pro; his genius was obvious from a very early age and again his brothers perform very well as they make "That's How Love Is" a terrific highlight of this album.

Listen also for "Love Comes in Different Flavors;" I really like this tune and the way they handle it makes it shine. "Lucky Day" and "Listen I'll Tell You How" are equally special.

Of course there are fresh renditions of other, more familiar J5 songs that are wonderful to hear. The CD starts with a great medley of "I Want You Back;" "ABC" and "The Love You Save;" and it all holds its own very well to make these three songs cohesive. "Never Can Say Goodbye" is gorgeous--Michael's singing is quite good and the musical arrangement is creative and pleasing to my ear at once. "ABC" gets a fine treatment from the J5 and the CD ends strong with these fine young men performing an alternate rendition of "Dancing Machine" that works flawlessly.

J5 fans, rejoice! This is one heck of an album that should have been released sooner. Could there be more unreleased masters hidden in the vaults somewhere, waiting to be recorded onto CD and made available to the world? Probably so--and I hope we get more of these amazing songs very soon. They can't come fast enough for me!

The whole world was shocked when news about media announced that the King of Pop Michael Jackson is now dead. Not only the entertainment industry was the fairy, but the whole world literally. He is a legend and an icon in the music industry.

As a child I was always told everyone that Michael Jackson was my cousin. I would even my mother back. I rememberto the hairdresser and said I want my hair to look like Michael Jackson. My favorite songs of all time were Ben, NBC and the legendary thriller. I did not know it at the time, but record not just a thriller Awesome video and crazy. There was also a history making event. Thriller forced to play the music industry to Black Videos on TV is changing the face of music forever. I also remember ever from the underground at Young & Bloor Street in Toronto, Canada andevery direction as far as you could see there were mini Michael Jackson 's everywhere sporting event in the tight pants, red leather jacket and white glove solo. To say that Michael Jackson is a legend is an under statement.

The Jackson 5 released several songs like "Big Boy" on the label Steeltown in 1967, they signed with MotownRecords in 1968. In 1972 Michael Jackson released four solo albums under Jackson 5 franchise, 2 of them Got to Be There and Ben.

In 1979, Quincy Jones and Jackson released "Off the Wall". Songwriters added Jackson, Rod Temperton, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney. It is also in 1979 that Jackson broke his nose during a complex dance routine and had his rhinoplasty.

In 1982 Michael Jackson released theThriller. About 109 million copies were sold, it became the biggest selling album of all time. In 1984 while filming a Pepsi Cola commercial in Los Angeles, Jackson suffered 2nd Grades placed on the scalp after pyrotechnics accidentally his hair on fire. It was also in 1984 that he received an award from U.S. President Ronald Reagan for his support of charities for alcoholics and drug addicts, people.

He made the much-anticipated "BAD" in 1987 and the Bad World Tour began in thesame year, 125 million U.S. dollars extrapolated. In 1993, he was accused of sexual abuse of children by a 13-year-old boy named Jordan Chandler and his father Evan Chandler. In the autumn of the same year he became a drug addict and went into drug rehab for several months.

He Married Lisa Marie Presley in 1994 and they divorced in 1996. During the HIStory World Tour, he married dermatologist nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe, with his daughter and a son. They divorced in 1999, but remainedfriends.

On June 25, 2009, Jackson died of heart attack in Los Angeles ending his long, successful and controversy filled carreer.

Some of the featured musicians are fine raconteurs, and the format of the show encourages them to share the genesis of their best-known songs. Pete Townshend explains that the title of "Baba O'Riley" was a combination of two people who inspired him when he wrote the song: Indian spiritual teacher Meher Baba and electronic musician Terry Riley (he added the "O'" for a touch of Irish flavor). David Bowie explains how "China Girl" arose from a collaboration with Iggy Pop after a moving experience in a Berlin punk club; and before launching into an outstanding performance, Steely Dan's Donald Fagen describes "Kid Charlemagne" as an allusion to the passing of the 1960s.

Other performers have little or nothing to say about the songs they perform (when asked, Rod Stewart shamefully can't recall who originally played mandolin on "Maggie May"), but virtually all of these performances are first-rate and fully deserving of their inclusion. The Boondocks: The Complete First Season

Based on cartoonist Aaron McGruder's politically charged daily comic strip, The Boondocks brings no-holds-barred social commentary and comedy to the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming, and now, all 15 episodes of the 2005-2006 debut season are available in an uncut and uncensored format in this three-disc set. As with McGruder's strip, the animated version of The Boondocks uses a fish-out-of-water format--10-year-old revolutionary-in-training Huey Freeman (voiced by Regina King), his 8-year-old brother Riley (also King), and their salty Granddad (John Witherspoon) relocate to an upscale suburban neighborhood--to take aim at all manner of cultural issues in both the black and white communities. Targets sighted in these episodes include singer R. Kelly's bedroom shenanigans ("The Trial of R. Kelly"); gangsta rap ("The Story of Gangstalicious," which includes a wicked spoof of the documentary Tupac: Resurrection); Oprah Winfrey (who is almost kidnapped by Riley in "Let's Nab Oprah"); and Martin Luther King, who revives from a coma to be branded a terrorist in "Return of the King," which generated plenty of heat from the Rev. Al Sharpton upon its broadcast. All of the above topics are handled in a decidedly less-than-respectful and occasionally offensive manner, though exactly who will find The Boondocks scandalous and who will find its approach fearless and on the money will depend on the viewer. But there's no arguing that the show is frequently as funny as McGruder's comic. Extras include audio and video commentary by McGruder and the production staff (as well as commentaries by the character Uncle Ruckus, Granddad's thoroughly unhinged friend whose fixation on a White Jesus is tackled in the season closer, "The Passion of Ruckus"), as well as deleted scenes, some unaired Adult Swim promo spots, and a behind-the-scenes featurette that addresses the show's conception and production. --Paul Gaita

Love The Boondocks!!! Aaron Mcgruder has a very unique way of presenting issues that deal with our generation, ways that will not sit right with everyone. The Boondocks is a hilarious satirical look at our country and our culture. Not for everyone (especially young kids), but very entertaining if you enjoy this certain type of humor.

Customer Review: Mish Mash
While I like this sort of recording I bought it only because it was quite cheap in the used section. It has some very interesting moments, but of course is little more than a "sampler" if you will, and one that is too stuffed with a variety performers that don't necessarily work well one against the other. To be specific, when Victor put out this sort of thing it would be "The First 100 Years at the Metropolitan Opera", and that traced just that. All the singers from 1903 until the 1983 release date. Its hardly perfect, but at least it has a purpose. EMI did a similar reissue, but it contained one CD at a time, so one could think carefully about that which they wanted to buy. This is one of the rare times I'm going to say there's just too much here, and not always of a good thing. They barely raid the cupboard of older recordings, and I assume Sony has a heck of a lot of them. Two CD sets from each decade could have been a far more intesting and thought provoking A&R decission. Four CDs that are aimed at nothing more than what I mentioned earlier don't really cut it

Michael Cialdella effortlessly establishes himself with this album as an artist to be reckoned with. The lyrics are well-crafted and soulful and the music proves that, reports to the contrary, it is still possible and permissible for a young songwriter to create melodies that are gorgeous and memorable. From the exuberance of the opening number, "Finally Free," through the unapologetic optimism of "Chasin' a Dream" to the haunting romantic revelations of "My Love No More," Cialdella proves himself in this eight song collection to be a pop troubadour in the classic mold.
